SST tanks are extremely flexible and can utilize a variety of energy sources to maximize the efficiency of hot water production. SST tanks are suitable for most renewable energy combinations (solar ≤ 12m2 / heat pump ≤ 5kW) and high temperature heat sources (gas or biofuel boilers up to 25kW). The electric heating element can be used as a back-up heater, additional heating to increase capacity or as legionella protection (external control).
